Case Study One – Harrow (Conservation area)
The Client for this Property in Harrow requested Temple Bar Design to prepare plans for a complete refurbishment of the existing property.
Taking into account the interior design as well as the external aesthetics of the property, we set out to completely modernise the home, while keeping within the strict Planning Bye-Laws of the area. The facade from the road remains largely untouched. A large extension at the rear and creating an open plan kitchen/living/dining area spaces adds to create the contemporary style of living, while at the same time ensuring sufficient natural light reaches within the circulatory corridors within.
A full design package ensured that we had everything covered, from setting out the mechanical and natural lighting to the positioning of the small power, all to make the new home a very comfortable and easy living lifestyle.
Case Study Two – Knightsbridge, London
We were requested by our Client to proceed with the Construction Package for his property in Knightsbridge.
Planning Approval was previously sought after and gained by another firm, the Client then requested us to proceed with the project.
The project involved the enclosing of an existing external terrace area into a basement where he could locate a cinema and entertainment room. The highlight of this project was, that no external space has been lost, but in fact had been gained. The existing terrace area could be seen as unusable because of the condition it was in.
The new basement has a complex flat roofing system, which caters for a new terrace above it. The new terrace has planters around the perimeter, with open rooflights that allow natural light into the basement below.
We are extremely proud of the work we completed for this project, although challenging in its own right, it has become an incredible feature of the property.

Mitesh has worked on long standing contracts with various Architectural Firms, and delivered multiple £1m – £30m mixed use schemes. With his wealth of knowledge and experience across all Architectural styles, Mitesh is responsible for detailed design & Town Planning Schemes and oversees the Tender and Construction packages of all projects.
Brett joined Temple Bar Design in 2013. Through invaluable experience and dedication, he is able to apply a broad spectrum of skills and add value to all projects, at all stages of development. He is responsible for all drawing work and the production of design, building control and construction drawings.
Rai is an experienced town planner and has early involvement in feasibilities of the sites, pre-application advice and providing support through the planning application process from submission through to determination. He has worked on a variety of projects including change of use, lawful development certificates, residential proposals, retail schemes and mixed use developments.
Jits is an experienced project manager with over 30 years of successful delivery of critical projects across multiple disciplines. With Jits' impressive organisational skills and exposure to all aspects of delivery, we can ensure that our projects run on time and within budget.
